Dr. Jonathan Yeung

Dentist, DMD

Dr. Jonathan Yeung was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. Interestingly, he made the decision to become a dentist at the ripe old age of 8, wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps. He made good on that when he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University in 2009. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. While he loved his time in Boston, Jon knew being back home and practicing with his dad, Francis was ultimately where he wanted to be.

Jon has been in practice in New Westminster since graduation, and has found a passion for restorative dentistry. He finds fixed prosthodontics particularly gratifying, and is a firm believer that dentistry should be functional and aesthetic. That can be something as simple as getting the right shape, shade, and contour for a filling, or something much more complex such as proper smile design in a reconstruction case. He is highly critical of his own work, and always strives to deliver his absolute best for all his patients. The team at Brewery District Dental understands it is a privilege to look after patients, and treating everyone with first-class care and respect is a fundamental principle of the office. 

Outside of the office, Jon and his wife have a young daughter who keeps them on their toes. Sunny days are spent at nearby parks and trails with their Shiba Inu, Ellie. Jon enjoys spending time in the kitchen (although he ends up eating a lot of kid-friendly spaghetti) and also outdoors doing all sorts of gardening.
